Management Team

A founding partner, Gareth oversees strategic issues, new business development and the day-to-day running of the company. He has been investing in and advising on real estate projects since he set up New Space Investments in 2003.

Up until 2003 Gareth spent three years as a senior sales negotiator at Foxton’s Estate Agents in London. Prior to this he was a mortgage broker at The J. Rothschild Partnership. He is a graduate of Lancashire University where he studied psychology.

Ed is the other founding partner.  Prior to New Space Investments Ed spent five years at Foxton’s Estate Agency and is still proud (to tell anyone who’ll listen) that he remained a company-wide ‘top ten agent’ for the majority of his employment.  Ed spent his last year at Foxtons in their New Homes department where he focused on land acquisitions for property developers.  Ed holds a design degree from the Royal College of Art.   

Ed’s role at New Space involves new business development and block management.  His current focus is on developing our regional presence and he will be both unveiling and heading up our East Midlands regional office in 2010.

Tom joined New Space in 2005.  Prior to joining New Space Tom worked in a graduate position at EDF Energy.  He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Plymouth.

Tom has recently been promoted to the position of Lettings Manager having spent 18 months heading up our Property Management Department. Now he is responsible for pre-tenancy marketing and has overall responsibility for letting the property under our management, and bringing on new business.

Rashida joined New Space after working for four years as an Accounts Manager in a London based Estate Agents.  She is a graduate from the London School of Accountancy.

As accounts manager for New Space Rashida is responsible for the day-to-day running of the accounts department and her roles include preparing landlord statements, reconciling accounts, credit control and VAT returns.

Rashida is the best point of contact for:

·          Any questions you might have as a landlord relating to your rent or renal statements

·          Any problems you may be experiencing (as a tenant) in paying your rent

·          Suppliers with account or payment enquiries

Prior to joining New Space, Richard worked for two years in the Republic of Georgia for a London based Property Consultancy.  He was part of a team that set up the management of newly built commercial projects and worked in an advisory capacity for consultancies such as Jones Lang LaSalle Russia and Colliers CRE. 

Prior to this, Richard spent five years working as a Senior Negotiator in the sales team of Foxton’s Estate Agents in London.  He is qualified to IRPM (Institute of Residential Property Managers) standard and is currently studying part time for an MSc in Real Estate from Reading University.

Richard’s role at New Space involves ensuring the smooth day to day running of our residential developments, and overseeing the move-in and move out process (tenancy related)

• Any enquiries from leaseholders on the day to day management of buildings, or on any issues relating to service charge or ground rent requests
• Issues you may be having as a tenant which relate to the communal areas of your building (for example; lifts, stairwells, bin areas etc)
• New business enquiries relating to building management
• Any enquiries from tenants relating to the return of deposits or booking of inventories
• Any enquiries from landlords, tenants or agents relating to references

Jo joins us from a position as Portfolio Manager for SE Land and Estates, a property development company based in central London with a portfolio of residential and commercial properties across London and Scotland. She is very experienced and has spent a total of 10 years as a Property Manager having also worked at Hawksworth Management (as manager of the lettings and investment team), Foxtons, and Harrington Lowndes. She is a language graduate of Lancaster University

• Enquiries from landlords on any issue relating to property management during the tenancy period
• Enquiries from tenants on any issues arising during the term of a tenancy (such as maintenance problems or difficulties you may be experiencing with your rent)
